Admiral’s Note: I built a finally Stella to much excitement and then was told, “Good, now build it up and scrap it.” WHAT?! So I asked our alliance member Storm Team to explain the situation. Here are his thoughts on the STFC special vessel: Stella.

The Stella can be unlocked through the Outlaw faction store. Getting the security codes to unlock the Stella is grueling and will require your best ship with your finest PVE crew to kill as many Eclipse hostiles as possible. Your base’s Research and Development center must be at level 27 to unlock the research that will, among other things, let you build your Stella. I would recommend maxing the Augment store during this period so you don’t wear yourself out killing ships for codes. You should have Botany Bay and Joaquin to help you mine data by now.

After the Stella is unlocked and built, it will be necessary to scrap it to obtain particles used in research to make your Stella stronger. One purchase of uncommon uranium which is only available every two days in the Outlaw store, will let you upgrade your Stella to tier 3. Use your Stella to get codes and upgrade your faction reputation until you unlock the rare uranium in the store. Ideally, you want to be scrapping a tier 4 level 20 Stella because tier 5 is where rare uranium becomes required for further tiers.

There are also chests in the faction store with refined resources that can be bought with Stella particles. After you have upgraded your Stella with the research and are comfortable with the number of codes you can obtain in a single trip, then these chests will be extremely helpful in upgrading other sections of your operations.

Uncommon and rare Eclipse armada tokens can be purchased with decoded data mined in Augment space, which is why it is very important for your Augment reputation to be maxed. Mining enough resources to buy Augment chests and armada credits daily will be hard: you don’t want to be stuck buying both. Doing armadas gives you the credits you need to buy the uranium; therefore, you should buy as many chests as you can.

Build your Stella and have fun with her: Harry Mudd would approve.
